Openers needed · Ames City Auditorium

The Ames City Auditorium is seeking tribute bands for its winter/spring season. In the interest of full disclosure, this is a brand new venture for us and since the Ames City Auditorium’s budget is set well in advance, there is not a budget for this new tribute “series”. These events would be an equal ticket revenue split between the artists and the facility for this year. While there are no guarantees, the last artists that performed at an event like this were paid over $1500 for a three piece ensemble for a 60 minute show using the same revenue split model. This would be a one hour show (though you can play up to 90 minutes if you choose)…most likely with a short set from an opening act. The Ames City Auditorium is an 880 seat facility near downtown Ames, and tickets will be sold for $10. We are looking at all genres and types of tribute bands, but are looking for tribute acts specifically. We have a house PA, mics, and monitors in-house and a sound engineer will be provided (if needed) for these shows. As an added incentive, we can also video record the performance and do a multi-track audio recording.
